Shana started her career in Toronto, styling for print publications and film productions. In 2003, she moved to New York City, where she became an editor at Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, taking on the role of Deputy Style Editor by 2007. By 2010 she published her first book, Handmade Weddings, with coauthors Eunice and Sabrina Moyle. Shana,

You have quite the resume as a stylist! What is your favorite thing about styling for Paper Source?

  2. Niki Bradley says:

Hi!! OMG…LOVE the Shauna Faust website and her props and crafts page….I could pink just about every image! My question would be is where does Shauna ever hit creative blocks and what does she do to get out of them?

I find myself in creative blocks from time to time and would love some other avenues to knock those blocks down!

    Thanks so much!!

  3. Natalie says:

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

  4. Paula says:

Do you have a project that you were dreading working on, but once it was complete turned out to be one of your favorites?

  5. Mai says:

    Hello,

I’m curious to know, what inspired you to collaborate with the Hello!Lucky founders and create a great DIY book such as “Handmade Weddings?”

As a secondary question, what led you down the path to become a photo stylist?

And by the way, I really like the elegant and charming styles displayed in your work.

    Thank you for inspiring me!

  6. Linda d says:

Do you ever draw your inspiration from nature or even a piece of clothing you’re wearing?

  7. pegg says:

Gorgeous eye candy on Shauna’s site! I wonder what trends she loves working with now and which she is tired of!

  8. Karen says:

If you were not doing this lovely work, what would be your other career endeavor?

  9. Hawaii Phan says:

    Shana,

I know this is still quite early to even think about, but here is my question for you:

How do you envision your daughter’s future wedding to be like? Let’s just assume she takes most of her likes from you. How would you design her wedding and customize it to make it an even more special day for her?

(& also if you have time to answer another question, What’s next? Are you going to make more “Handmade_____” books?

Can’t wait to see/read your interview!

Having a small child and a husband as well as a demanding career, how do you manage to keep it all going? And do you have visions of how your daughter’s wedding will be?

  11. Katesha Smith says:

What was the one opportunity/lesson in your career where you realized that you were capable of _____? I’ve always believed that I could achieve anything, however, at times we forget. I was just recently reminded to always think big because I am capable of greatness!

  12. Kathryn says:

I’ve always had ideas in my head for designing the perfect dress, the perfect invitations, etc. for a wedding. However, I cannot draw. What is the best way to go about locating a stylist in my city that can help me transform my thoughts into reality?

  13. Because the work I do now reflects interests I’ve had since childhood, I would like to ask Shauna to tell of her early influences. Were there specific activities, crafts or materials that you incorporate in what you do today? Is there an aspect of doing something creative every day that has not changed substantially since you were a girl?

  14. Mona says:

DIY projects can be incredible bonding experiences with Family & Friends. Unfortunately, there can also be some interesting disasters. Without names can you tell us some of those real moments…and possibly how you handled them or tell Brides how is the best way to deal with those situations.
    Enjoyed your book.

    Sylvie

Beautiful work shown delightfully on your website, including your inspiration page. In your work as a talented stylist, do you ever design and make some of your own craft props? Also, (not knowing her age)is your daughter showing any interest in following in your artistic footsteps?

  18. Andrea S. says:

Planning an October Nautical wedding. I grew up on an island, and he is enlisted Navy. We are thinking anchors, rope, boats, but everyone keeps mentioning shells. Any ideas?
