We’ve been so busy monkeying around with fresh ideas and new products that we almost forgot to celebrate a very important birthday – the PS Blog turned 2 this month! That’s right, we’ve dedicated two years to parties, kids, holidays, gifts, decorating, weddings and DIY projects, along with bringing inspiration from our stores to the web.

I’m addicted to Paper Source. Using your products for everything in our upcoming October wedding. My favorite was the April “Addressed to impress”. Gave me the idea of an address stamp for all the Save the dates, RSVP’s and invites. Then it lead to an logo for the wedding. Wasn’t sure how it would look, so went to the closest store in Annapolis, and the staff was wonderful explaining all the options. Thanks for all the ideas!
I really enjoyed the wedding program blog post a few months ago! I was in the midst of planning my own wedding, and the ideas really inspired me to make our programs myself– using Paper Source supplies, of course! Great blog! =)

I am a first-time Daisy Girl Scout leader. Last March, I was looking for DIY party hat ideas for our Kindergarten-aged troop to make for an upcoming Alice in Wonderland-themed Girl Scout tea party. When I came across the “Crazy for Daisies” PS blog post from February 2011 – I sparked the big idea.
We used the new PS Clover 80# text paper, one PS Daisy Flower Kit, headbands, green ribbon and green feathers to make the coolest Daisy flower headbands ever! The craft was simple for the girls to make in 30 minutes, and they (both girls and adults) were proud to wear them to the event.

The February 13, 2011 PS Blog post “Building a Baby Shower Album” helped me do something creative every day for the following 3 months after the post. This post really helped me to design a fabulous and truly memorable baby shower album for my older sister Teki for her birthday this past May.
This was really important to our whole family because we lost our mom to cancer last year a while after my precious baby nephew was born, my mom had always wanted a grandchild and she was blessed to be able to hold her grandson before she passed. My sister looks at the album often and it always brings her cheerful memories of our mother. The PS Blog post about the baby shower album not only helped me be creative everyday but it was also like therapy for me. Each page I did really helped me to come to terms with the loss my family had and it also made me joyous to be alive and to enjoy my baby nephew PJ who is also the first baby since me. Thanks so much PS for providing me with more then just creativity, and have a wonderful and fabulous birthday.
PS: I’ve always loved your how to post, their super fun! And I love to visit the store often, lol.

Confessions of a Wrapper is by far one of my favorite posts. I too love the act and beauty of a well done wrapping job. I try to get creative and reuse different papers in order to be environmentally conscience (and thrifty!). Definitely the cute as a button baby shower. I told my mom to make my baby shower just like that. Coincidentally, I now call my baby, “Button!”
I loved Laura’s wedding with all the paper cranes! My daughters’ school did something similar. After the tsunami in Japan, students folded hundreds of paper cranes and hung them in the lobby of the school.

Loved “Confessions of a Wrapper” blog, I felt like we were in the same ‘gift wrap support group’. I select unique wrapping paper for every person on my list, wrapping each of their gifts in the same paper. It makes the holidays a breeze for the children, they identify their gifts based on giftwrap paper – if they aren’t old enough to read.
I buy unique gift wrap whenever I find it and store it in a small wardrober; which is full of ribbons, trims, gift paper & bags. I never want to be caught without a beautifully wrapped gift to give. Thanks PS for supporting my habit, I love your papers.

Happy 2 years! My fav post ever was the how to for the holiday card holder. I love it so much to display our holiday cards on the mantle. I also made my mom and in laws holders and they love them! We use em for all the major card holidays and birthdays.

My favorite entry was Ann’s “Confessions”. I too am a planner & perfectionist and also love gift wrapping, but I had never really put much thought into coordinating my wrappings. I was inspired! Admittedly, I missed the boat last Christmas, but this year I’m already stocking up matching & contrasting PS papers, ribbons, and tags in preparation for the giving season. I will come bearing gifts of Persimmon, Chartreuese & Gravel!

One of my favorite posts was “Confessions of a Wrapper”. I used some of the tips for my daughters first birthday party. When my wife asked me what type of tape I wanted the baby book I responded, “Go double-stick or go home!”.

One of your first shower posts inspired me to create a darling bookworm baby shower for my sister-in-law. I used the idea for the invitation and even made a giant bookworm sign with the baby’s name on it. That sign now hangs above my nephew’s crib. Thank you for creative & do-able ideas!
One of my most favorite projects was the Paper Wall Art. It was such an inexpensive and completely unique way to spruce up my bedroom! I absolutely adore it!!
My goddaughter recently graduated from high school and came to me to write her college sorority recommendation (yes, she pledged Chi Omega, like me, her mother, AND her grandmother). She lives in Atlanta and wrote thank you notes on the cutest most sophisticated stationery. I asked her Mom where she got such distinctive writing paper and she told me. Happy 2nd Birthday, PS Blog. I have to admit that I usually want to try every idea that I see on the blog, at least once, but alas with 2 young kids, I am not always able. That being said, the most inspirational for me was the gift wrap. I always take care when wrapping gifts, but this gave me some ways to up my game. (Double-sided tape here I come!).

My favorite part of Paper Source at the PS colors — they are so breathtakingly beautiful… so I always get inspired by the posts about new PS colors. The 4th of July post last year-it had such simple ideas I wasn’t overwhelmed and I had all the supplies on hand.
I was inspired by the post about using paper cranes as wedding decor. My fiance and I have been thinking of ways to use our day to help the Japan relief effort. In college I used to sell cranes and donate the proceeds to charity, so thank you for this post because I think this will be a perfect way to incorporate this wish into our wedding!

I love the stamping with powdered sugar. I have several stampie friends who teach classes and I’m sure they have not heard of this technique and I can’t wait to share it with them.

I don’t think it’s around anymore (I couldn’t find it) since it’s discontinued but all the info about Gocco on the blog really helped me decide to take the plunge and get one even though they aren’t being made anymore. I looooove my Gocco and using PS papers for making my own stationery with all the trimmings (inluding envelope linings).
Forced to choose one I could find currently up, it’d have to be the envelope making & lining templates post. I love the shape and character of the envelopes at PS and this post just helped immensely with visualising (& not wrecking) how to use my templates properly & tobest effect. Just such a great, little, overlooked tool & resource.
I love the 4th of July decorating ideas…especially the banner. Can’t wait to do it for our get together!

My favorite was the Holiday Card Making Recipes. I was super impressed with all the designs but especially loved the Paper Tree Collage. I make holiday cards every year, usually hand stamped. I loved “Confessions of a Wrapper” as I am the only person in my family who wraps gifts with coordinating paper for each person with matching tags etc. My brothers don’t really “get it” but seem to like it nonetheless. New Colorscope Readings is a favorite. I love all the creative ideas posted on the blog, but I am a HUGE fan of all the great colors available at Paper Source. And it’s fun to know what my favorites say about me.
I have always taken wrapping gifts very seriously, in fact, when I was a child I would re-wrap over all the gifts under the tree to ‘improve the aesthetic’! The madness continues into my adulthood as I am the ‘designated wrapper’ among my friends and family who will often beg me to wrap holiday and occasion gifts… much to my delight! “Confessions of a Wrapper” was a great post and further inspired me, and reminded me that sometimes less is more! YAY!

B is for Baby that was recently posted was super helpful as I am having my baby shower next month. I realize that only a complete control freak would find a post like that and then firmly request my sister to include a portion of the shower where everyone fills out a page based on a letter in the alphabet so I can go back and put it in a keepsake with other pictures and mementos of the special women in our lives for the baby to have forever! LOVE IT! I only hope my sister comes through 🙂
I so wish I had thought of the birthday calendar idea at the time of my wedding! What a fabulous way to get all those birthdays and put the focus on guests, letting them know you will be thinking of them in the future, for sure!

Two posts tie as my favorite. (Forgive me for not remembering the names of the posts.)
The post about the bookworm baby shower was perfect when I was planning my sister’s baby shower as it gave me so many ideas.
And the post this past Christmas on wrapping presents was great as I’m not great with bows and it showed me there are other ways to wrap presents besides grand, beautiful bows.

My favorite blog post was “Confessions of a Wrapper”!
Being a first year teacher this year, I found very little time to be creative and make cards. This lead to a life less vibrant and a realization that in order to feel like my life was full of… well… life, I needed to be creative more often. More than that, I needed new inspiration to get back on the horse. The Artful Paper Creations Workshop in May followed by the Art of Craft: New recipes for DIY cards & crafts blog were the inspiration I needed to feel the color of creative life again. They helped me to make creativity more of a priority in my everyday life.

Being a cardmaker, one of my favorite posts was in February 2010 with the Vegas Wedding Invitations. It was just so inspirational for me to think outside the box with dimension, using a multitude of color, and adding all the cute extras. The idea is easily incorporated into favors as well… just love it!
My favorite post is about the wedding with the nature theme. Love the idea of asking guests to ink their fingerprints as ‘leaves’ onto the tree print as a keepsake.

The 4th of July post was a favorite of mine. This year I used star punch in almost all of my decorations for the Fourth. It nice to be reminded the simplest things often make the best decorations!

The most memorable is the Simply Smashing. The video amazed me. I already make journals but who would have thought you could smash collages and journals all in one? All your memories, pictures, hopes, dreams, all together in one book. I love this idea and it makes me happier thinking about making one.

My favorite post was “Idea: decorated brownie tray” from July 2009. I tend to do a lot of baking and hate the look of the aluminum trays so I was always using my own trays (and constantly having to replace them). Then lo and behold, I stumbled across this post and I have not had to replace another tray since! 😉

I loved all the wedding blogs–DIY invitations and all the ways to use wedding sashes in favors to programs. It was in a PS store that I learned embossing. My wedding was papercraft inspired. Not only did I save money but was also one of a kind. I am now using my paper craft skills to make my sisters wedding invitations, etc. using Paper Source products.
I always start here to find fresh, unique ideas for homemade cards. I love the fact that each “recipe” includes an image of the final product as well as a list of materials, tools, and suggestions for the card-making. That is so helpful! And honestly, I really love all of your craft ideas. The Envelope Accordion Book is one of my all-time favorites. :)Thanks so much for the inspiration you provide!

Th first post I read (and the reason I started following the blog) was the pop-up mother’s day card a couple months ago. I thought it was cute and liked the idea to use wrapping paper to embelish paper.

The one featuring the Epic letterpress machine must be my favorite. I love the look of letterpress and finding out I could have a letterpress at home to make all sorts of beautiful things was really exciting.

I was so intrigued by reading and watching the Smash Book post and video on June 15th, that I decided to go to my Paper Source store the next day and get one – or two or three! The store had their own Smash book started on display and it looked so cute and fun that I was even more inspired to start one of my own. To my dismay, they were all sold out and I have been looking out for them ever since! So sad…but I will be much happier when they are back in stock 🙂

I like so many too, but I found the PS Real Weddings Laurel to be very helpful in a project I was working on. My good friend was getting married in Vegas and this was a great source of inspiration.
My fiance and I discovered Paper Source about a month ago for the first time when we were creating our Save the Dates, and now we’re hooked! We’ve been back to our local store several times already, planning out our wedding invitations. I especially liked your Wedding inspiration for the DIY bride post from February, as we are seriously considering the Roses embossed invitations, and love the look of the stamps. The taking inspiration from other artists. Helen Musselwhite sparked in me a need to see the world daily through
a camera lens, in person, my dogs eyes. I have been writing thank you cards as it has been a
tough year and a half or more for me and each note I write I want to be special. Nature scenes dominate
and they take time and concentration but, all are made from paper! Different textures and colors
creating many different natural scenes.
I may not have stumbled upon Helen had you not written about her in your blog. You and Helen, are quite an inspiration.

If I choose just one it would have to be “A lovely companion to a guest book.” Im helping my brother and his fiancé out with their wedding. It’s a small mostly family affair (80 adults-20 children.) so I thought the guestbook /birthday calendar would be a great idea.
Where do I start? I love all the inspiration posts, but I really love the handmade gift section. My craftiness has come a long way since I started tuning in regularly!
my favourite was the “cute as a button” theme, and I have used the theme already for two baby showers….love buttons!!!!! and candy!
Even if the occasion doesn’t match mine, I check out the ideas anyway. They often show stunning presentations made up of a few simple pieces. Also, I’m drawn to colors and I find the color combinations just as inspiring.
Happy Birthday! I visited your blog religiously last year when planning my August wedding. I loved all your great wedding blogs, especially the DIY Wedding Programs! I loved the PS Real Weddings: Laura post. I just folded 120 cranes for my own wedding–I can’t imagine making 1300! I had help as well and it was still a lot of work. Thanks for the giveaway!
I really liked Easy DIY holiday decor using PS fall kits
(November 18th, 2010). My mother always had beautiful wreaths hung on the front door of the house I grew up in, and my favorite one was one that celebrated fall. It was a collection of all sorts of nuts, pinecones and leaves, all hues of browns, topped with a big red velvet bow. The wreath in the picture was a nice reminder of that childhood memory, with a twist: the leaves made from old book pages.

The little flower cup covers are great. They protect your drink from bees and other things flying around. And did I mention how cute they are! And now you can tell which one is your cup. Just jot down your name.
The daisy or lotus kits would make fun cup covers too.
