How To Make a Bouquet Card

Bouquet Card

A2 Plum Card
Text Weight Papers
Paper Flowers
Bone Folder
Glue Stick or Xyron
Tacky Tape
Pop Up Glue Dots

  1. Begin with a plum A2 folded card. To create the layered band on the front of the card, you will need two styles of text paper--one cut to 3 1/8"X 5 1/2", and the other cut to 3" X 5 1/2" (we used rose lokta and pink cromatica paper).
  2. Use a xyron machine or glue stick to apply adhesive to the back of the 3 1/8"X 5 1/2" band. Center and adhere to the front of your card. Apply adhesive to the 3" X 5 1/2" band. Center and adhere on top of the other band. Use a bone folder to smooth out any air bubbles.
  3. To make the bouquet, cut a triangular shape from a doily (ours measured 2 1/2" long by 1 5/8" wide at the top). Create a backing for the doily by cutting a piece of sage text paper the same size and shape. Use a glue stick to adhere the doily and sage pieces together.
  4. Use tacky tape to adhere flowers to the back of the doily bouquet (you may need to trim the stems of the flowers). Use pop up glue dots to adhere the finished bouquet to the front of card, centered on the band. Finally, make a bow and attach with tacky tape.
