How To Make Fanned Gift Toppers

Smashed bow blues? Create a unique fanned gift topper - a great solution for sending packages long distances because they can lay flat. You will need decorative paper.

  1. Begin with any size square or circle. (Hand cut or use a decorative hole punch).
  2. Score down the center of the circle or diagonally down the square from one corner to the opposite. Fold in half along score line. Repeat steps with another circle or square of the same size. Mix and match different colors, textures and patterns of paper.
  3. With double-sided tape or glue stick, adhere one half of a folded circle or square to another - the left half of one will be backed to the right half of another.
  4. Continue adding additional circles or squares of the same size until your gift topper achieves your desired fullness. Adhere a flat circle or square the same size as the others to the bottom of your gift topper. If you choose, add ribbon for a great finished look.
