Customers often ask us what it’s like to work at a place that inspires people to Do Something Creative Every Day. The short answer: inspiring, challenging and rewarding.

As you can imagine, most of us were customers first, just hitting up our favorite store for DIY projects, handmade gifts or the big one – wedding invitations! Few of us gave thought to the possibility of starting a career with our favorite paperie.

Courtney Market started her career at our Evanston store and now manages our Austin store. “I was a customer before I was an employee, and when I saw there was an opportunity to work in such a unique environment I jumped at it,” said Courtney. “It’s great to be part of a family of such creative people—from the buyers, to design team, to the associates in the stores!”

Courtney, like many of our store associates, loves showing customers the amazing possibilities that come from the simplest techniques. “I love to take a customer to the demo table to help them line an envelope or show them the magic of heat embossing and see their eyes light up from the instant gratification of an easy project.” She credits the wow factor of these hands-on demonstrations and tricks for making a trip to Paper Source such a unique experience.

Do you think you will expand your area in Texas, like maybe Wichita Falls??

  2. I can vouch for how much fun it is to work for Paper Source. I started very part-time with the company 8 years ago when we opened the Highland Park store and, as I like to say, was seduced by the paper! I’ve been with PS for 8 years now and still love it and our fun customers.

I was one of those customers who jumped at the chance to work at PS when the South Coast Plaza store opened. I started there a couple weeks after opening and worked there part time for 18+months. It is a fun place to work and they were very accomodating with my schedule ( I have 4 kids). It was always a fun to go to work and get to be surrounded by all that paper and other creative people. Unfortunately, it was a ittle too far from home and the gas was killing me. Not to mention I pretty much spent every paycheck before I got it. :0

It’s a great place to work!
