What year is it again? If you were to ask any of our designers right now, they would have to pause for a moment and think before answering. For 4 months of the year, 100% of their focus was on on 2014 dates and holidays! This is the most challenging and exciting time of the year for the Paper Source Design Team and we were able to catch a peek behind-the-scenes of this incredible process.

They begin the process in January with an inspiration meeting to talk about trends and ideas to work on as potential illustrations for the new line of Paper Source calendars. (Also brainstorming ideas for new calendar formats that we have not tried before.) Each week, they meet and review each design, working through each month until it is perfect.

Calendar and date book development time is so important because it is these  designs that influence other Paper Source exclusive products. Our favorite designs carry over to wrapping paper, stationery, office products and more. This year, our designers drew inspiration from chalkboards, hand-lettering, sloths, terrariums and donuts!

I used the Art Calendar as framed artwork for my nursery and it turned out great! I love that my daughters room will have changing art every year. So fun for her! I am including the project nursery link to show how well it turned out. http://projectnursery.com/projects/theodoras-dreamscape/
