Looking for an easy way to display Christmas cards or place cards at your holiday table? In just a few short steps you can create pocketed tabs that hold the corners of the items you want to display.

1. Start with paper cut into rectangular shapes where the width is twice the height

2. Follow the simple folding steps shown here

3. Slip the finished tabs over each card corner to create this accordion display

The sample shown uses 5″W x 2 1/2″H pieces to create tabs that hold A2 holiday cards. You can even use wrapping paper scraps since lighter weight paper is easier to fold.

I love this idea but can’t seem to figure out what you are doing between steps 4, 5, & 6. Could you possibly clarify or could another commenter describe the steps? Thanks!

Thanks for all the comments! Lauren, it’s great to hear from you! Mary, step 4 has you folding the triangle on the right side from the right tip over to the left tip. Step 5 is then folding that triangle down so that it covers half the full triangle on the left. The next step is then to tuck the small triangle on the left into the pocket on the right. The last step is folding the entire triangle in half to create the easel/stand which has pockets on both sides to slide the cards in for display. Hope this helps!

  8. Very nice, love the corners!

Thank you! Now I understand. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Wow, I love this idea, I have some triangular rubber stamps that would be great for making designs on the corners, like I did on this card – http://www.carolynsstampstore.com/catalog/images/projectimages/card_with_squares_large.jpg

I made a tutorial for a method of displaying cards too, but it’s a lot more time consuming than your idea – here it is if you want to see it – http://carolynsstampstore.com/catalog/inchiesgarland.php
It works well over a doorway.
