Learn how to craft the three beautiful cards featured in our newest catalog! The new Luxe Grey paper is the perfect shade for creating stunning and sophisticated stationery, and these tips will have you making your own cards in no time!

Butterfly Card:

  1. Stamp the Butterfly Stamp along the left side of an A2 Luxe Grey flat card (overlapping with the edge) in Versamark ink.
  2. Coat with White Embossing powder and heat set.
  3. Use Pegz stamps to spell out a name or greeting.  Use it to stamp the lower right corner of the card with Versamark ink.
  4. Coat with the embossing powder color of your choice and heat set.
  5. Paint the butterfly wings with Metallic Watercolor.
  6. Use an A2 envelope liner, Tape Runner and the Tarasen Linen Tissue to line an A2 Luxe Grey envelope.

Balloon Card:

  1. Stamp a strip of Luxe Grey paper with the Congratulations stamp in Versamark ink.
  2. Coat with Gold embossing powder and heat set.
  3. Cut notches out of each end to create a banner shape and set aside.
  4. Create circle shapes out of Luxe Grey, Luxe Blush and Gold Flecks on Cream paper using the 1 1/2″ circle punch.
  5. Tape a piece of Gold Shimmer Twine to the back of each circle and mount to a Pure White square folded card with Foam Squares.
  6. Trim the strands of twine and tie them together in a bow with a fourth piece of twine. Adhere the back of the bow to the card with a Zot or glue.
  7. Adhere the Congratulations banner to the card (we used a combination of Zots and Foam Squares).
  8. Use the 5 3/4″ Envelope Liner Template, a Tape Runner and the Gold Flecks on Cream paper to line a 5 3/4″ Luxe Grey envelope.

Floral Thank You Card:

  1. Stamp the Thank You stamp with Versamark ink in bottom right corner of an A6 Luxe Grey folded card.
  2. Coat with Gold embossing powder and heat set.
  3. Punch flower shapes out of white paper with the Hydrangea Paper Punch.
  4. Punch leaf shapes out of white paper with the Five Leaf Branch Punch.
  5. Adhere the leaves to the cards with Zots.
  6. Curl the flower shapes with a bone folder. Stack 2 – 3 layers and adhere them together with Zots or Foam squares.
  7. Adhere the flowers to the card with Zots – overlapping the leaf branches.
  8. Punch smaller flowers from Luxe Blush and white paper with the Mini Flower Punches.  Stack them and adhere them to the large flower centers and other places around the card.
  9. Accent the flower centers with a gold pen (or add dots of Quickie Glue, coat with Gold embossing powder and heat set).
  10. Pair with a Luxe Blush envelope.

    I bought 10 packs of paper in your Rochester hills store today and was denied the the discount. I bought tissue paper inserts for wedding invitations. I was told it has to be card stock. Paper is paper no fine print on the sign.
