We have a bit of gift wrapping competition around our house at the holidays. My sister-in-laws each have their edge; Lisa is fantastic at turning ordinary boxes into something really special with glitter paper and complementary ornaments while Lynda manages to take her bows to the new heights with her use of multiples on packages. Then, Tony and Michael never cease to amaze me with comics, double and triple looped ribbon and simple hang tags, and Jenny adds a touch of natural elements like cloth ribbons (being the floral designer that she is). And then there is me, the one who creates pleats in solids, mixing and matching my paper bands in my favorite PS dot paper!

Now, we all know that there is no right or wrong way to gift wrapping but, for some, figuring out a few new twists helps maintain your style reputation. So if you’re looking to learn a few tips for adorning a package with dramatic papers or, perhaps, learning how to create pleats for your own wrapping competition, then we have just what the “style wrap doctor” ordered.

Reserve your seat today for our upcoming Wrapture workshop on December 2, from 6:30- 8:00 pm, where we’ll share some of our tried and true techniques using kit accents (like our paper doves, die cut snowman cards and Poinsettia blooms), kool papers, peppermint stickers and baker’s twine to turn your packages into gift giving winners. Bring in 2 – 3 packages and leave with bragging rights of your own.

Here’s to a sparkling holiday!
