With the Royal Wedding almost upon us, we’re dusting off our fascinators (or making paper ones at our new Mini Workshop) and starting the kettle to celebrate the newest Royal Couple from across the pond. Of course, we have to celebrate Meghan Markel and Prince Harry’s wedding in true Paper Source fashion, though, with a Royal Wedding Watch party fit for nobility.

Invites

This royal event calls for a formal invitation! Send the details of your event to all the dames and gents on your guest list with a handmade invitation. Since Meghan Markle spent some time working for Paper Source as a calligrapher, we’re following suit by hand-lettering our own initiations! Adding some interesting accents to the invites, we also paid tribute to her new home with some Vintage London Rubber Stamps. Add even more elegance to your invitations with custom liners.

Decorations

While it may not be St. George’s Chapel, with some swanky decorations, your living room can be transformed into an elegant room for a reception. Our watch party décor consisted of Mini Gold Party Crowns, Blush Floral Small Plates, Floral Stripe Small Napkins, Paper flowers, and DIY themed cupcake toppers. Even though the wedding is taking place at 6am CST, it’s never too early for cupcakes! Here’s how we made these cupcake toppers:

• • Size and print pictures of your choosing – We picked Meghan and Harry
  • Punch out with circle punch
  • Punch out slightly larger circles of various colors – we stayed on the Britain theme with red and blue
  • Run plain paper circles through Xyron
  • Cut coffee stirrers in half
  • Peel and stick to printed pictures with a coffee stirrer stick in between
  • Add more embellishments with various punches, banners, stickers, and embossing

With festivities starting in the wee hours of the morning, it’s going to be a long day filled with pageantry. Make the viewing even more fun by playing our Royal Wedding Bingo!
