Our Annual Holiday Card Contest drew to a close yesterday. Thanks to those of you who submitted fantastic and original holiday card concepts, voting is going to be difficult.
While we wait for votes to trickle in from our teams, we wanted to put the spotlight on a few of last year’s submissions. We hope the recap will serve as inspiration and connect you with others who share your love for the handmade greeting.

Some would say 2011 was the Year of the Rabbit, but from the eyes of a Paper Source fan it seemed to be the Year of the Creature. How often have you looked at an octopus and thought, “He’s so cute!” Or swooned over quirky owls in the wilderness. Or infused holiday cheer with the help of one jolly gnome.

The photos will appear in card samples on our website, in our catalog and in Paper Source stores nationwide, and one lucky couple will be selected at random to receive a $100 Paper Source Gift card – perfect for for wedding invitations, reception favors or gifts!

As we anxiously await the July launch of our new line of birth announcements, we wanted to let our fans know about another opportunity to inspire our designs – our 2011 Holiday Photo Card development is underway and we’re looking for families to feature in our catalogs, online and in our stores.
We’ve been so busy monkeying around with fresh ideas and new products that we almost forgot to celebrate a very important birthday – the PS Blog turned 2 this month! That’s right, we’ve dedicated two years to parties, kids, holidays, gifts, decorating, weddings and DIY projects, along with bringing inspiration from our stores to the web.
And there’s more to come!

The Paper Source Design team is developing our 2011 birth announcements, and your little bundle of joy could be the featured inspiration in our catalogs, online and in stores.
We had such fun creating our holiday card idea samples this year – including a multi-department crafting lunch, complete with holiday tunes (but missing the “lunch”)!
From the creativity of that day came the cards pictured above, along with recipes for you to follow, or improvise. We hope you enjoy the inspiration they provide and that you have a ball “cooking up” your own holiday cards this season. Remember, if you submit your ideas to us, as part of our Holiday Card Contest, you could win a PS gift card (always handy around the holidays)!
