October is in full swing which means once Halloween has come and gone, the winter holidays will be approaching. We don’t know about you, but thinking about Christmas season gets us oh so excited for cups of hot cocoa, fuzzy socks, gift giving and holiday crafting. One of the most thoughtful ways to send your season’s greetings, your fa la las and your ho ho hos, is by adding beautiful touches to the envelope of your holiday cards. Holiday travel is the best – crowded airports, snow storms cancelling flights, and agitated gate agents are just some of the wonderful things to look forward to. Standing in an hour long TSA line or sitting sandwiched between two strangers on a plane is a great way to introduce yourself to new people and smells. Read More
Finding gifts for others that don’t break the bank is a constant struggle of mine, as I’m sure it is for many. I love giving meaningful gifts to others, which unfortunately requires money that I do not have. In recent years, crafting has become my secret weapon. Making gifts by hand allows for endless customization and is far cheaper (and more thoughtful) than buying a pre-made gift. For those of you who are also balling on a budget this holiday season, here are a couple DIY gift ideas that will not burn a hole in your wallet. Read More
Going to a place we call home and being with loved ones is what makes the holidays so special. Traditions, though, are what keep the memories of the holiday season alive year round. We went around the Paper Source HQ in Chicago, and asked our team members what their Thanksgiving traditions were. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and along with that comes Friendsgiving, a more casual gathering of friends to give thanks for each other before the family comes rolling into town. Our friend Audrey of Love Always, Audrey outdid herself in making a gorgeous spread for her Friendsgiving dinner.

I love crafting. I grew up doing it just about every weekend and we even have a stocked craft room in my parent’s home.
I also really love Christmas decor more than any other holiday – not surprisingly. So when I discovered the Paper Source holiday kits, I just knew I had to indulge. If you’re crafty enough to host a cookie decorating party, you should probably create your own decor. Like I did here!
Every single piece of this festive garland is included in the kit. So no, you don’t need anything extra like scissors or glitter glue or string to put it together. The only thing you would need is some way to hang the garland, like thumbtacks or tape.
Every piece is pre-cut and glitter-fied so all you need to do is thread them along the string. You can even shake things up if you’re a true rule breaker and choose where to place the Santa, reindeer and trees.
The garland looked so cute in my parent’s kitchen dining room and so perfect as a backdrop for my cookie decorating party. I think I’ll keep it up in my apartment for the rest of the seasons to come. I also have a Christmas wreath kit just waiting to be put together and I can’t wait to hang it on my door. Maybe next year I’ll have a real one, because this one is just too cute. 😉
Paper Source offers all different types of cute kits for all kinds of occasions from holiday to birthday to baby shower! You can find them in all Paper Source stores or online.
