Celebrate in Color
We just turned 40!
In 1983, we opened our first shop in the River North neighborhood of Chicago with a vision to share handcrafted paper from all over the world and because of you, our loyal customers, we continue to pursue this vision today. Thank you for embracing our quirky soul, for choosing to celebrate your life moments with us and for inspiring us to Do Something Creative Every Day.
From the original vision focused on artisanal papers, our assortment has flourished to include products like card stock and envelopes, craft kits, fine paper, stationery and calendars & planners designed to support our customers' shared passion for living creatively. We invite you to rediscover these heritage products that bring us pride.
It starts with COLOR. We begin every design with our own special palette, which is the foundation for our brand right down to our striped shopping bags. Throughout our 40 years we have kept this collection fresh by staying current with design trends and having an open ear to the feedback we get from our stores and customers. With over 30 colors, we have the perfect palette for every occasion.

Sue Lindstrom, our founder, traveled the world and brought treasures back to the community of artists and customers who visited her family-owned store. It was a natural pursuit that turned out to be something greater— a connected community of creators. This community fostered a lifestyle that brings out the creativity in all of us. In turn we love to share individual’s paper creations with our community to keep the inspiration going and to celebrate the creator in all of us. We invite you to tell us your story and share your projects with us using the form below.
