We’re so excited to have guest blogger, Jen from lifestyle blog, The Millennial Martha, join us for a Paper Source post about how she added some extra pizzazz to her holiday cards this year. Check it out!

Several years ago, I learned how to create envelope liners from a Paper Source class, and I immediately fell in love with adding liners to everything. The liner class inspired me to create all of the liners for our wedding invitations and so many stationary gifts for friends. Now, every year for the holidays, I select 2-3 wrapping paper prints for our family for gifts and envelope liners.

When I discovered Paper Source partnered with Paperless Post to print their holiday cards, I knew exactly what I was ordering for our card this year. I love selecting a simple, elegant design I can embellish with Paper Source paper and stamps. I wanted to showcase our photo from Italy this year so opted for the Avant-Garde Foil Cards from the new collection.

Creating your own liners is extremely simple. First of all, Paper Source carries an amazing envelope liner template kit that you simply trace and cut out. It’s ideal to also have the memory tape runner, which is potentially my favorite product they carry. Using the tape runner, you can trace a line on the edge of the liner to easily tape it into the envelope. Other than those two items, you’ll need a pair of scissors and your paper. So simple, right?

To demonstrate the wide variety of looks you can create with liners, I created three different liners for our cards to share with you, which you can view below. The cards give off a different feel depending on the liner. With the Rifle North Pole from Rifle Paper Company paper, it’s more of a boho feel while the Red Cardinals give off a classic look and the Snowy Trees offer the highest contrast. No matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong with any of the stunning options from Paper Source. We love working with the team and feature all of our DIY projects on The Millennial Martha.
