1. Crafting for July 4th with Straws!

Independence Day is just around the corner, with just enough time to spruce up your place with some patriotic details! Our favorite crafting tool might surprise you….straws!

These red and white paper straws are bright and cheerful, and work in three different crafts! We originally drew inspiration from a Straw Wreath How-To we’ve featured on our blog before. Although it was originally meant for Christmas, we love that all you need to change about this is the ribbon color (try Royal or Lake) and you have a whole new look that screams U-S-A. (Check out the step by step instructions here.)

  2. Houston Inspiration: A Paper & Pool Wedding

Without a huge budget for her wedding, but with a certain level of quality in mind, Houston PS fan Kristina and her husband knew just where to go for quality, accessibility, and the perfect color palette. With a hand from PS, a lovely bridesmaid, and creativity, Kristina found the essentials she needed for her Paper & Pool themed wedding.

When it was time to start our wedding budget I knew we had to really save money and do the whole wedding with paper. One, I am a huge paper fan, and two, it was something that seemed to fit our personalities and theme. I have always loved the pool color from Paper Source so we went and bought all of the components of what we needed for our day. I didn’t go in with a real plan. All I knew I wanted was pinwheels!!

In this visual collection store manager, Christine, features a few DIY wedding projects inspired by our Daisy flower kits and the fresh curry and night colors of our Bulletin Wedding Invitation. Coordinating elements like an adorable Dark Navy Cotton Cady dress from J.Crew, sweet daisy adorned cupcakes and an authentic white-washed church set the tone for what would surely be a lovely springtime wedding.

  10. Studio City inspiration: Wedding place cards & menus

We love how Paper Source Fan Lisa Y. used a monochromatic color palette and rubber stamps to accent her Eagle Castle Winery wedding in Paso Robles, California.

I worked with TwoYellowShoes to design a custom template since I wanted the grapevines to go with our winery wedding.

To complete her DIY place cards, Lisa adhered each printed card to a Plum Place Card using Double-Sided Tape. She used Clear Embossing Powder, the purple from her Petal Point Color Box Inkpad and Menu Set Rubber Stamp images to heat emboss each place card (the carrot indicated vegetarian, the cow was for short ribs, and the fish signified the Monkfish entrée).
