January is a great time to set new goals and imagine what your new year will look like. For this month’s how-to, we’re creating vision boards!

Vision boards are a great way to set clear goals using images, words or quotes that speak to your ideal future. They act as a constant visual reminder to help you stay focused on achieving your goals. To craft a vision board, you only need a few supplies and a big imagination!

How to make a vision board

Supplies:

  • A board for the base. This can be a cork board, poster board or a magnetic board
  • Adhesive, pushpins or magnets
  • Scissors
  • Images that resonate with your goal. This can be photos, printouts, magazine clippings or quotes
  • Embellishments like stickers or decorative paper
  • Markers and pens

Begin Crafting your Vision Board

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, you will need to get clear on your intentions and goals for your vision board. What do you want to manifest into your life? What kind of person do you want to be? Where do you want to see your career go?

When you become clear on your intentions, you can begin to gather the images and objects for your vision board. Choose words and photos that support your goals and visuals that resonate with you.

Begin arranging your images and have fun with adding stickers, headers and other embellishments to your vision board to make it feel inspiring.

When your vision board is complete, place it in an area of your home or office, where you will see it often. Allow the images to provide daily inspiration and be a constant reminder of your goals and intentions! Update your vision board as often as needed.
