  3. Charleston Wedding: Part 2

With save the dates under her belt, Sarah moved onto planning her wedding invitations and day of details. Continuing to leverage colors from her inspiration print, she used Sapphire cardstock to create a custom piece that would hold all of the items in her invitation suite. She backed her printed invitations with the featured Italian paper creating a decorative trim, then adhered that to the inside of the Sapphire folder.

  4. Rubber stamping my way through my wedding!

During the planning stages of my wedding about a year ago I was looking for a way to carry a theme through elements like my wedding invitations, wedding envelopes, menu cards, etc. And although I am surrounded by inspiring design ideas and expert crafters every day at work, I am NOT a crafty person myself, which means I needed a simple design solution. After ordering beautifully letterpressed Cottage Bloom wedding invitations, I turned to coordinating rubber stamps as something I could use to embellish other wedding decorations. In the end, the Cottage Bloom Rubber Stamps saved me and even made me a wee bit craft-savvy! I never imagined myself owning rubber stamps let alone using them in all aspects of my wedding day.

  5. How-to: decorative wedding favor box

Decorative wedding favor boxRequested by SO many of our customers, this spring we introduced the classic square favor box. This perfect little square is quickly becoming one of our favorites to embellish. With just a few folds and double stick tape they are ready to fill with little cookies, tiny treasures, or four exquisite truffles.

Here’s a great way to dress up favor boxes with ribbon, rubber stamps and glitter glue. Layering violet and silver ink creates an elegant muted tone and can be done with any color combination (use any base color with silver on top).

  7. Fresh spring party favors

party favorsHere’s a fun, affordable way to do a fresh take on party favors (think also wedding favors or baby shower favors). I picked out these sweet mini grape hyacinths at the market and set them into our recycled takeout boxes, lined with a simple wax paper to prevent moisture from showing. An unexpected gift for your guests, not only does this create a wonderful aroma, but it gives them something to plant and grow when they get home. And they make for a lovely table decoration during the party. Any small flower will do– pansies, mini daisies, spruce seedlings, etc. This simple little takeaway will leave a lasting impression, and it’s eco-friendly too!
