Ink on Paper Source is a collaborative collection from independent artists who inspire us. Discover their creative voices, translated into stationery and wedding invitations exclusively at Paper Source.
Her work has spanned over thirty years and is inspired by the universal themes in folk art and color play. She has collaborated with various licensing partners, fabric manufacturers, product makers, and is the author and illustrator of a dozen award winning children’s books. She continues her mission to find new ways to bring art into the world and do good.
For her Ink on Paper Source collection, she created a custom journal, notepad sets, and stationery. She shared her inspiration came from the patterns and textures of Africa and florals.
When she takes on a new project, her process starts on paper and then transitions to digital “until my forms and colors just so. I surround myself with things I like and ideas come to me; one idea every minute and a half.”
“I bury myself in my project in an obsessive way for days or weeks at a time and eat toast. It's all I do. It's all I think about until it's done.” When she’s not working, she is an avid traveler, journeying around the country in an outfitted van with her dog Porter. “I am grateful that I can support myself and my family with my art.”
