Great for experts, novices DO NOT BUY
"This product should come with a highlighter yellow "WARNING" label on the front that says "DO NOT USE FOR SIMPLE STAMP CRAFTS!" I picked this up at Paper Source thinking that it was just a simple ink pad for stamps that I was going to use for my holiday cards this year. Oh, how wrong I was. It turns out this is a slow-drying ink pad great for "embossing. " I wanted to make some simple holidays card with a cute stamp, not emboss a letter like I'm sending it to the Queen of England. Yes, I understand, "you should have read the label on the back!" Well, the label on the back doesn't say much beyond "slow-drying" and they sure are right about that; it's been over 24 hours and the use of a hairdryer later, and the ink STILL is not set. I used simple cardstock paper as a base, nothing fancy. If you're an expert artist who uses this for stamping, I'm sure that this is a great product. The quality of the ink is strong, and it looks very professional. Which, is exactly what is is supposed to be: a product for professionals. However, if you are NOT a professional, like I assume most people who shop at Paper Source for simple holiday cards are, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. At this point, I'm doubtful that the ink will dry, so I will just have to send out smeared holiday cards."
