"I discovered this book back in 2019 when Eve Rodsky was interviewed on one of my favorite parenting podcasts (What Fresh Hell: Laughing in the Face of Motherhood) and have appreciated her wisdom and practical suggestions since then, but I’ve come back to it recently to recommend it to even more women in my life, especially when things feel so hectic and we’re pulled in so many directions these days. Fair Play (along with its card deck) is a great resource to think creatively about how to share ownership of managing a household, especially in families with two busy parents and a couple of kids. Clear expectations are such an important part of enduring, healthy relationships, and Fair Play—whether you just take a few tips from it or go all in on the philosophy—can really help us communicate better with those we love and those we share our lives with."
