"I read this with my kids as a little bed stone story read over the course of a few weeks and we all enjoyed the little snippets of life. It's cute and light hearted and I could also find a few entries that matched our feelings about the day."
"I just realized I've had this little gem sitting on my bedside for quite some time, and I I've never reviewed it! It's a lovely book with quips, quotes, and poems to begin and end your day and I just adore it! Though I've read it all, I still open it up every once in a while when I need a pick-me-up! I absolutely adore Lin-Manuel Miranda. His brilliance is unmatched - Hamilton, Moana, and In the Heights are all ethereal works of art. His musicality and rhyme are so unique and catchy, that it's no wonder he's made such a name for himself. To boot, he's just a good guy - a philanthropist and humanitarian - raising money for his native Puerto Rico and advocating for immigrants. So, as you've heard me say before, kind people are my kinda people - and Mr. Miranda sure fits the bill! So, pick up this handful of joy if you're in need of a smile. "So grateful for Lin-Manuel Miranda and the way he looks out for and cares about everyone. These little messages are so lovely. It’s only 4 stars for me, however, because, as much as I wanted all of his little diddies and encouraging messages collected in a book, I actually think they’re better served individually on twitter and in that medium. (Weird and unexpected, I know. ) It’s not that Jonny Sun’s illustrations take away from them (they’re GREAT), it’s more like books are pleasant enough already but these words of encouragement shine more in contrast to twitter’s trash heap self."

"GMORNING, GNIGHT (little pep talks for me and you) by Lin-Manuel Miranda with illustrations by Jonny Sun was a delight to read, all in one sitting! For years, LMM has been encouraging his Twitter followers at the beginning and ending of each day. These tweets are like having a life coach, cheerleader, therapist, and great friend whispering affirmations of kindness and motivation into your ear before and after your day. Although I sped through this, I plan on keeping it out to read a few lines each morning with my coffee. This collection would also be perfect for a morning commute or enjoyed with tea or wine at night. The illustrations were clearly sketched to reflect the soulful content of each pair of tweets and add an extra layer of sweet creativity to each page.
