It's monster picture day again! Itty Bitty Betty Blob sits in front of the mirror practicing her growling for the camera. But for Betty growling is not so easy. She's not a typical monster, and she doesn't love scaring anyone. What does Betty love? Dancing and rainbows and cute furry creatures. So when Betty's mom hands her a perfectly horrible scaly black dress to wear on picture day, Betty isn't sure. Of course she wants to make mom happy, so she heads off to school with high hopes, practicing her growling all the way there... and that's when Betty makes a discovery that feels just right.
"Itty Bitty Betty Blob is the perfect un-Halloween Halloween book! It's about monsters -- and about not being a traditional monster. You can't help but love this precious monster and her puffs. Non-traditional and superfun! Great for kids who need a little encouragement to be fully confident in their uniqueness, but in a totally fun way!"

Great for Little Monsters and Their Adults, Too
"Itty Bitty Betty Blob was not your typical monster, begins this charming picture book about being your true self. How true! Parents who remember The Munsters will immediately remember niece Marilyn from the 1960s TV show The Munsters. Betty, while not feeling ugly in her pretty looks, rejoices in rainbows, flowers, singing and good behavior — unlike the other monsters at Ghoulington Academy (love the name!). How can she possibly look good for the camera on Picture Day when she can’t summon up a good enough scowl for the photo? Some new friends help Betty through the ordeal. From the atmospheric illustrations to the charming words, everything in this picture book proves — forgive the pun — picture perfect. Little monsters and their adults will love every page. In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley, Astra Publishing House and Hippo Books in exchange for an honest review."
