Stone paper - who knew

"I have purchased 3 of these notebooks because I love the feel of the paper and how smoothly you can write on them. I agree with the other reviewer when it comes to using gel pens/roller ball ink and how it bleeds unless completely dry (which can take a while). However, I found using a ball point pen works great, and you don’t have to press down much to have the ink transfer to the page. I have not tried pencils, but may search out Karst’s brand instead. Overall I would recommend them, and the only reason for the 4 stars is due to the limitations of the writing instruments."

"I love how the pages feel, I hate writing on them, I hate how the ink transfers to the next page even when I think its dry, I hate how the light pressure I use with colored pencils transfers the pressure lines 2-4 pages down. And they are lines deep enough they will make writing or doodling ideas on those pages difficult. I hate that most pens, pencils, markers, etc take some kind of extra step to be successful with in the journal. Pencil will rub off on the next page just sitting there on my desk. Ink will bleed into a facing page when I was sure it was dry. I can't flip back and forth to pages to reference and write because ink or pen or pencil will smear and spread and transfer. I have some really junky cheapy journals that work better for the purpose than this. For sure not worth the money. I like to use pencil a lot. I've never had issues in any type of journal with pencil ever. This one catches and jumps and no matter how soft I draw or write, I can't erase mistakes much at all. The only pens I found to be decent in here are sharpie felt tip PENS. . . NOT the permanent felt tip markers. The markers smear bad."
