Interesting Assortment
"I bought this set so that I could add some flowers to the wildflower bouquet #10313. My favorites are the California Poppy and the Aster. I’ve decided that I’ll make one assortment with jewel tones, adding in the poppies. The other will have the roses, some sunflowers I already had, the Aster, lavender and the white daisies. What can I say about the roses? They really are lovely and would shine if they were a brighter color. I simply don’t understand what they’re using as a leaf. It looks like it should be on a dinosaur. I’ve decided that I’m going to take the stems apart and remove the leaves. Other flowers have leaves, but they’re not ghastly like the ones on the roses. Lavender: a labor intensive flower. It seems extremely tall. It reminds me of a Victorian era headdress. I was disappointed that I couldn’t find names for the greenery. Some of it does look like it came straight from Jurassic Park. I’m going to give those pieces to my grandnephew. Perhaps he’ll have a place for them. Finally, I would prefer to build stems so that I can control the flower’s height. I would pay for an assortment of stem pieces and fasteners. The stems to my sunflowers are two if not three colors. I shortened some other flowers so I could add height to the sunflowers. I like some of the flowers in this set very much. However, I like the set #10313 better."
