Keep It Simple. . .
"but elegant. I love Moleskine, there is just something beautiful about the soft covers, the texture of them, the feel of the paper inside. I bought an extra-large Moleskine 18-month soft-cover planner 4 years ago, and that was that. I had always used a Franklin Covey, but dropped them cold for this one. I just feel more involved with a Moleskine, it lends itself to creativeness, which is why I bought the smaller plain paper Journal. I can carry it with me, yet it's still large enough to be satisfying when I want to bust loose and draw, write, figure something out, or just journal deep. I have used everything from ballpoints to pencil to charcoal on the paper, and the smooth surface makes every media I've used seem to glide. The ink used on the lined ones is subtle, so it is much more appealing than the typical on-purpose journals available, plus the Moleskine will lay flat when opened, even when new. They are just a beautiful product. My next is going to be a city notebook, for when I travel this summer! With the softcovers, one can place leaves, receipts, found treasures, scraps of anything (well, almost) inside without breaking the back of the notebook, the soft cover just cuddles closed around whatever is put in. The quality of the binding is excellent, even my old one is still in great shape after riding the California coast in a backpack on a bicycle with me. Those New Renaissance writers and artists knew their stuff! Strongly approve and recommend this product!"
