Won't light up at all

"My grandchild just got this as a birthday gift - so excited to use it! We could not get it to light up at all. Took out the little circular piece of paper keeping the batteries from running out before it was sole. It would not light up. Tried the batteries several different ways thinking maybe that was the trouble since it was new-out-of-the-box. Still no light! So disappointing. This was my grandchild's favorite gift. Wonder if my daughter, who bought this, had read the reviews. I've never seen such consistently bad reviews ever before!!"

"I now see we are not the only ones who bought this as a gift for a child who ended up being sorely disappointed when it would not work AT ALL. He's really sad. Enormously frustrating. Piece of junk!"
