Let Them was an original concept by Cassie Phillip

"What in the name of Charlatans has Mel Robins become? Unoriginal, narcissistic, and self-absorbed to the extreme, Let Them is a stolen concept from a Ms. Cassie Phillips, that Ms. Mel Robins liked so much, she built a brand around it and wrote this unoriginal, uninspired book. When she refers to herself as a “hot blonde” it is maximum cringe Way better books by more authentic and original human beings."

Repetitive , but helpful ig

"I read this book while in a really down and unsettling part of my life , the first few chapters I really engaged in , practiced and read but overall the book is just repetitive and she continuously talks about herself in a sense where it starts to feel like “ugh here she goes again” I wish she’d have used different examples from different members of her family’s perspective to see how the concept works for multiple people rather then just the person who made it ."

Huge disappointment

"Robbins seems to have lost her way. That's all I can say about the book and the author. This book adds nothing new, and her credibility is so tarnished I think this is the last book I will read from her. I used to think she had her finger on the "pulse," but now I just feel like she's another voice trying desperately to be relevant. Hard pass on this book."

MUST READ!

"This book changed my life. I had finished reading the book within 3 weeks of getting it and every single time i use the let them theory i see my life change!"

Kayli (5/5)

Let Them

"The book proposes a simple yet powerful central idea: to let people be who they are—to “let them”—rather than attempting to control or change them. Robbins argues that much of the stress, frustration, and conflict in life stems from trying to manage the actions, opinions, and decisions of others. The “Let Them Theory” consists of accepting that while you cannot control others, you *can* control how you respond. By letting go of the need for approval, validation, or control, individuals can reclaim their emotional energy and focus on what truly matters: their own values, decisions, and well-being. The book blends practical psychology, personal anecdotes, and actionable advice to improve relationships, reduce social anxiety, and strengthen self-esteem."

Great concept

"I listened to the audiobook from beginning to end. Was some of it repetitive? Yes! But repetition helps get the idea engrained and remembered how to apply it to different situations. There have been multiple times in the past two weeks since I have finished this book that I have referenced it saying LET THEM. And then redirected to Let Me rlhandle the situation this way. I have been sharing it to multiple people when they have been stressed and struggling. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it definitely struck a chord with me and I absolutely give this five stars."

Aspotinthebook (5/5)

Overhyped and extremely repetitive

"One chapter will get you what you need to know, everything else is extremely redundant. For an inspirational speaker she has some odd bullying tendencies. Using her daughter‘s body image as an example of why you should use” let them” theory made me uncomfortable as a reader. The phrase “let them” has to be said at least 1 billion times in this book. I had to stop reading it a couple chapters in and gave it away. For someone who reads a lot of books on personal growth this one is very disappointing and definitely should be skipped. It is uninspired and unoriginal."

"How this is showing 3 stars I DO NOT understand. This is a 5 star book and we all need to follow the advice and hear the lessons Mel presents. She is just like the rest of us figuring out our lives. Its helped me immensely."
