"I've always been interested in Bonsai trees, so when I saw this kit at Barnes and Noble, I thought I'd give it a try. I was able to get a couple of seeds to sprout after a month of watering the soil. I used bottled water since the water in my community has some chlorine in it. Hopefully in a few more months I'll see substantial growth.  If not Running Press will send me  replacement seeds. The only complaints I have is the manual is poorly written, and the box art should show a jack pine instead of a juniper tree. But a jack pine doesn't look as good as a juniper, so that's probably why Running press used that photo."

"It's a cool idea, but it stops there. I bought two kits and my mother bought two kits. Not a single seed sprouted. Followed the instructions to a T. Maybe we're just unlucky."

"So, two days ago my boyfriend bought me one of these for my dorm room, and the soil and seeds were missing. I decided to read the book before opening the bag of supplies, so, after about 10 minutes of flipping through it, I poured the contents out of the bubble wrap to find: a pair of scissors, and a small pot. Nothing else. This item was shrink wrapped as I bought it, and I removed the plastic myself, so how did the assembly line miss putting in the very things needed to grow my miniature, oxygen giving tree?"
