"This is a great beginner cookbook with plenty of verity. There are even tips on how to grow your own tomatoes and herbs. Some unique recipes like, not just sandwhiches and salads. It also has plenty of pictures to help children see what they are making and really have an idea of what it will be. Overall, this is the perfect book for your eager kitchen helper."

Great!
"This is an amazing cookbook for all children. I loved that cooking without heat made it toddler friendly! One of my favorite things about this cookbook was that it had more ethnic foods than most children's cookbooks and also was healthier than most. We also really enjoyed the gardening sections! A must for anyone with kids."

Not Your Typical Cookbook
"Really useful book for the whole family. The no-cook part is great as it limits the chance of young children getting burned accidentally. Plus it’s a nice way to cook during warmer weather or just for a change of pace. The addition of gardening fits in nicely with having a healthier lifestyle. I would recommend that a child in 4th grade or higher would enjoy making something I’m this book independently and that parents make sure that they some basic knowledge about cooking or growing plants beforehand. The photos and graphics are superb and will grab the readers’ attention. This is so much more than just a cookbook. It’s a great introduction to cooking and eating healthy. I received an advanced reader copy for free from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review."

Beautiful beginner cookbook for kids
"The No Cook-Cookbook is a cookbook for kids where each recipe is simple yet elegant and created by methods that don't involve heat (no baking or sauteing or simmering). It is filled with vibrant photographs of all of the recipes with easy how-to instructions suited for children. This book is not only useful, but also beautiful. I love the vibrant colors that are showcased throughout. These recipes are accessible for children, but will still teach them valuable methods about reading recipes and cooking with fresh foods. I appreciate the emphasis on including nutritious and healthy ingredients. I feel like this book is just the right length for a children's cookbook. It isn't so long that it is overwhelming to children, but provides recipes for different courses of a meal with lots of different ingredients. Thank you to NetGalley and DK Children for the complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Packed with good foods and healthy life style
"STORYLINE: DK has published yet another outstanding book for children! This one is a cookbook. It is divided into three parts, basically: a section on how the book works with the rules and guidelines for kitchen safety and hygiene; the recipe and gardening section that includes breakfast, soups and salads, entrees, and desserts; and a glossary and index section. So, if the reader wants all about strawberries, the index is the place to start! TEXT and ILLUSTRATIONS: The pages are simplistic and very colorful! Readers will no doubt feel confident trying every single recipe. The cookbook gets a purple ribbon in my view as it starts off with no-bake granola, overnight oatmeal, and smoothies – all very popular with children! How to grow simple fruits and veggies will excite readers with a green thumb. I especially like the how to grow your own strawberries. The recipes are easy to follow for children and adults. I especially like the mini trifles and the apple doughnuts! PROS: *The recipes are packed with fiber, protein, and vitamins! *There are snacks, breakfasts, meals, and drinks. *The book teaches independence. *Safety and hygiene are emphasized. CONS: *Party ideas? Perhaps, this will be Volume Two? HOW BEST ENJOYED: This is best enjoyed as an adult and child working side by side. IN CLOSING : This book focuses on healthy eating and living. Instead of candy, healthy fruits and carb-conscious foods are featured."
