This is great journal for back-packers

"I bought this journal for my daughter, now in her twenties. She loves to travel, and collects little scraps of information along the way - telephone numbers, e-mails, names of hotels, and the like. The compact size makes it easy to tuck into an outside pocket on her backpack. The built-in elastic band keeps the book closed while it is stowed, or keeps it open to the page she is up to, for adding entries easily. She puts it in a quart size plastic bag to protect it from moisture, and is quite satisfied with it all-around."
